Ear and Jet

I don't usually draw people so this was quite a bit of fun and a challenge. I don't think I did a great job but that's just because I haven't done it much. I don't know why exactly I don't find drawing people that interesting. Maybe it's just because I'm not very good at it.

Statue

Ok only 4 posts behind. I'm getting caught up. Hope to be only two behind by tomorrow. That would be sweet

BreakTime

I really love both of these guys. Especially the goat like character. I want to explore that look some more. Thanksgiving break begins today. Hurray. I'm going to catch up.

Last night I saw Twilight, it was pretty bad but I really enjoyed it. I was with a pretty rambunctious crowd which made it alot better for us but probably not anyone else in the theater.

Behind. Nooooo

Oh no, I'm six pictures behind

Building G

I did it. I managed to get all cought up on my drawings. I was actually worried I had lost my will to keep this up but low and behold I haven't. Hurray. 2 minutes left

F 'n Ogre(hehhehehe)

So I ended giving my presentation on Photography. I totally skipped all of that what does seeing stuff in nature mean. It went pretty well although I'm always a little(very) nervous when public speaking. The bottom picture is a continuation of letter buildings/shapes that I have been working on for a while. "F" was a really hard one but I'm finally happy with this and especially the well defined shapes on the top part of the "F"

Castle and Robot

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the design of the guy on the right. It seems it would be hard to show any sort of emotion with him. He doesn't seem scary or cute or anything really. Weird.

I'm fasting during the light hours

I wonder why we see shapes in the clouds. Mountains faces, sheep and other animals are what I usually see. I see animals more often then vegetables and other non-sentient beings. I'm not really sure why this is the case. I see various symbols and letters in nature.  I want to say that this is an example of humans putting their characteristics onto something unfamiliar to them but it doesn't really seem like the truth. I dunno. I need to talk this out with someone.

Lizard and the city

Late again. Oh well I finished drawing them before 11 or so.

Robot and grit

Yeah, I'm on time too bad I'm such a bad student and haven't done any homework. It'll be even worse next semester when I will be taking an art class. Visual basics. I hope I like it or I might not be an art major anymore. I have no idea what else would be my major. Maybe I'll bring coffee to people working at Pixar and draw characters on the cups and eventually get hired. That would be pretty sweet.

Forest and Rock

The Dark Knight is a very depressing movie. Very good  but really quite hard to watch.

Weird

Wow, these are two weird drawings. I don't know what's happening to my mind. I think I'll see where this takes me. I took handcream into the shower instead of shampoo. I getting more absent minded.

Ceramic Explosion

I broke a plate today in the sub when I was at the salad bar. I meant to push it along the counter next to the salad bar but instead it went off. Sheer horror. Food and shards of plate went crusing across the floor. Everyone looked and I'm pretty sure I turned red. It was super embarrasing. I had hoped this wouldn't happen to me every. Sad. I guess it's out of the way now

Eye

I really like the eye. I'm going to go read some Walden by Thoreau

Them rocks

There are so so so so many talented artists here on blogspot. It's a huge distraction. I spent at least 3 hours looking through art. Goodness my eyes are red now.

So Late

Bother forty minutes late. I'm really into the reds and oranges these days.

Road through Towers

Anthropormorphism(sp)

I rather like both of these pieces. I worked with blurring in the elephant drawing which came out well. I think.

On a hike up towards Mt. Rainier a few weeks ago our class was asked to write about whatever came to our heads. I had noticed what looked like writing in the side of Rainier. It was just shadows and rocks yet it looked strikingly like writing. The letters spelled something like "A CHOP", "I  HP", something along those lines. The point is I interpreted it to mean something. I humanized something that most people, those who doubt government conspiracies and supernatural graffiti, would say is not mean anything. Maybe the pattern in the rocks of Rainier do tell a story but I don't assume I would be able to understand it. I'm supposed to write a paper on this and I'm not really sure what I'm going to say.

3!!!

I've spent a great deal of time looking through some of the many artist blogs here on blogspot. I'm quite impressed and inspired. I don't know how I'll every be that good. It seems so far away. Maybe doing more real life drawings will get me closer to that level of realism. Unfortunately I'm never inspired to draw from real life. I'll have to work on that. It could work out that when I can't think of anything else to draw from my mind I'll just draw what's around me.

I particularly like drawing hearts in landscapes and romantic drawings in general. They're just fun and comforting in a way.

I've been listening to Snow Patrol's new album A Hundred Million Suns. It's quite good.

Snow but not in real life

Snow is wonderful. Being at college doesn't seem to have any rest. Normally I go home over the weekend which helps "reset" my mind in a sense. I'm ready to face the week rested and refreshed when I come back to the dorm from home. What if I didn't have this escape? I'm not really sure what I'll do.

Castle of Sorts

I'm really happy with the landscape. The cave is a different story. I'm not very confident with my ideas right now. I keep second guessing myself. Oh well it's probably because I couldn't do my computer science homework.

BeeHive trees

Two drawings I'm quite happy with. I drew these while singing along to a lot of pop with one or two friends. It's a great way to draw.

I was really worried I wouldn't get this post up but I'm still on track. We'll see how the next week goes

Epic

I'm not very happy with either of these. I hope my drawing inspiration hasn't run out. Tomorrow will be the test.
