Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas everyone. I've been taking care of my neighbor's house. Everything is going well except for their dogs. Two pugs and some larger black dog that looks like a piece of carpet with legs. Pugs are normally ok dogs but they aren't built for snow and with the seven or so inches they haven't been fuctioning so well; they poop in the house or on the porch and rarely actually out on the grass. It's very annoying and smells bad. On the plus side christmas was a great deal of fun. Opening presents and sitting around with the family.

Horned Crab Frog
Hhehehee it's funny looking. I finial finish my paper on photography. It shouldn't have been so hard. Hopefully my creative paper will be better. I can't wait to go home. I really need to organize my computer. I have CS programs, 3 GB of music and a couple hundred pictures that need to be sorted and stored away. I also need to do some photo editing and final get out there and take some more pictures. Speaking of pictures back to my paper. I had the hardest time finishing it today. I meant to go and finish editing around 12 but my brother called to ask if I wanted to eat. I can't really seem to say no to eating when I don't want to be editing so I thought I'd eat really quickly then come back. When I was there I ended up seeing someone in the class I had a final in today studying so I stopped and said hi and ended up studying with her for the rest of the afternoon until my final. Which started at four. I ended up the last one done and stayed to talk to the teacher for about an hour. By that time it was 7. By 9 I finished editing and turned in my paper. Only seven days late. Goodness
Need new pose
I try new poses and figure out interesting legs and arms that are also believable for these desgins. Goodness. Oh well. I've been using a photoshop brush that's really smooth and organic for the first sketches and it's really changed the types of creatures I've been drawing.
It's mildly annoying that there seems to be a way these ad blogs keep updating so it makes only those come up in the recently updated list on the main page.
I need to post my pictures to dA goodness.

Golden Brow
Seems like sort of an unoriginal idea but I like it. The thought of drawing something like this was put in my head after watching the trailer for WoW Wrath of the Lich King. I really like the video and almost wanted to play the game.
I can't wait for Christmas. I'm hopefully going to get some art books. Notably The Art of Spirited Away and The Art of Ratatouille. Both excellent books that I found really inspiring. I can't wait to get some free time.

Shell Rock
Oh goodness this took too long. I'm glad I switched to only one a day. I have such a hard time getting work done when I don't have a very structured life. I think the daily routine of classes then homework really helps me be productive. In a way I also think these daily drawings have the same effect. If not I'm still glad when I finish them and am almost always proud.
I really need to find an internship over the holiday break. I'd like to see what it's like to work at another game studio. I might just try to job shadow or just hangout at turn ten again. I dunno.

AWww
What a lousy day. I'm not sure why but I'm really quite horrible at writing papers. It takes me forever and I just get average grades at the best. In other news I presented in religions of the book on the Pakistani-India conflict over Kashmir. It's a depressing subject and has way too much history behind it. The presentation seemed pretty boring which is a shame since it's a little depressing seeing your audience begin to fall asleep. I think as our teacher talked to us about in our sort of informal debriefing we should have focused on parts of the conflict that illustrate the deeper problems. Our presentation of the history didn't seem to be very easy to get anything meaningful out of it because we had to go into so little detail. I got my bear blanket back from home, I didn't realize how much I missed it. Good to have it back. As for the picture I am trying to come up with something for my hall mates. I'm going for something cute. She really likes adorable pictures of dogs so I hoped I could come up with something that she would like.

Door
I drew a door. Hurray. It was actually pretty fun for a door. I read this http://www.autodestruct.com/hacks.htm interesting suggestions on who to become a video game concept artist and doors are one of the things that he said you should just go and draw a ton of.

Textures textures textures
I think this could be the longest I've worked on one piece at one sitting yet. I spent about 3 or more hours finishing this up and it still isn't as good as what I was looking at as an example. Goodness I have so far to go in my ability. Anyways I was really proud of my texture library; it served me well.

Lunch conversation
A two drawing day. I felt particularly inspired and against doing my homework which I regret now. I also had a very long lunch today (about an hour and some) where I talked with a guy on my floor about possibly getting a house together next year. We were thinking of getting a theme house but didn't really have any idea for a theme. He thought something to do with wetlands preservation would be good. Off the top of my head I could only think of birdwatching as an activity one does in a wetland area. So Bird House would be the name and we would go on bird watching trips for our three required activities. Taxidermy of the local window collision victims was also brought up by an anonymous party but was rejected after a good laugh. We also thought of Art Colony as a possible name. We would have found object sculptures and encourage recycling and reuse for beautification. We might even get all Andy Goldsworthy.

I love my Toshiba R20
I really love my laptop. I have thought this for a while but was reminded when today after playing tennis I got a text from someone in my dorm telling me to lock my door because someone was about stealing laptops. I walked as fast as I could home and kept thinking about how awful it would be to loose my laptop. I'd loose so many pictures and drawings. I'd loose a bunch of programs that would take a long time to reinstall/track down if I got a new computer. I've also come to an understanding of my laptop, a kind of familiarity like knowing a close friend. I know how it behaves and how to get around its failings. I worry when something goes wrong. The space bar stopped working after I spilled my cereal. In the back of my mind I think about it. Wish it would "get better".

Bad News
I'm not going to be posting two pictures a day anymore just one. I don't think I can keep up with that
many. Thanksgiving was absolutely fantastic: brazed onions loaf, cranberries, amazing. Someone
that's not in my direct family is following my blog. It sort of blows my mind because anyone I'm following
I think is really a great artist. It puts a certain amount of pressure on me to have someone follow my blog
since it makes me feel I have a commitment to keep up with this one picture a day thing. Anyways it's good.

Ear and Jet
Statue
BreakTime
I really love both of these guys. Especially the goat like character. I want to explore that look some more. Thanksgiving break begins today. Hurray. I'm going to catch up.
Last night I saw Twilight, it was pretty bad but I really enjoyed it. I was with a pretty rambunctious crowd which made it alot better for us but probably not anyone else in the theater.

Building G
F 'n Ogre(hehhehehe)
So I ended giving my presentation on Photography. I totally skipped all of that what does seeing stuff in nature mean. It went pretty well although I'm always a little(very) nervous when public speaking. The bottom picture is a continuation of letter buildings/shapes that I have been working on for a while. "F" was a really hard one but I'm finally happy with this and especially the well defined shapes on the top part of the "F"

I'm fasting during the light hours
I wonder why we see shapes in the clouds. Mountains faces, sheep and other animals are what I usually see. I see animals more often then vegetables and other non-sentient beings. I'm not really sure why this is the case. I see various symbols and letters in nature. I want to say that this is an example of humans putting their characteristics onto something unfamiliar to them but it doesn't really seem like the truth. I dunno. I need to talk this out with someone.

Robot and grit
Yeah, I'm on time too bad I'm such a bad student and haven't done any homework. It'll be even worse next semester when I will be taking an art class. Visual basics. I hope I like it or I might not be an art major anymore. I have no idea what else would be my major. Maybe I'll bring coffee to people working at Pixar and draw characters on the cups and eventually get hired. That would be pretty sweet.

Weird
Ceramic Explosion
I broke a plate today in the sub when I was at the salad bar. I meant to push it along the counter next to the salad bar but instead it went off. Sheer horror. Food and shards of plate went crusing across the floor. Everyone looked and I'm pretty sure I turned red. It was super embarrasing. I had hoped this wouldn't happen to me every. Sad. I guess it's out of the way now
