FireRise

Haven't done anything like this in a little while. I liked the textures and colors but I seem to be repeating what I've done in the past and need to move beyond that.

KOR

I've been playing Knights of the Old Republic recently. I was pretty enchanted by the landscapes on Datooine. I tried to capture the feeling of the place but didn't quite get it. I'll try again.

WatrFall

This drawing isn't quite right. I'm not sure why, maybe I'll like it more later. I'm hungry

Here we go again

I'm back at school after a rather uneventful but relaxing spring break. I meant to do quite a few things that I never ended up doing such as drawing and some homework. I did try installing linux Mint on a broken laptop someone gave me. The whole installation left me confused and in awe of how much I don't know. Unfortunatly it failed to install and I'm still not entirely sure why. I will keep trying and maybe try to get it fixed by Dell if I have some sort of warrenty.

Anyways Cony if you read this make sure your doing a drawing a day too.

I put together some samples of my best work today. It can be found Here

Tree Bunkers

I want spring break. I drew this at 2 *3 for the sketch and meant to change it to 5 *7, my standard size, but forgot until the end so I had to redraw the foreground. I don't think it's that obvious but I'm not sure.

Rusty Rocks Mountain

Goodness I need to be less prolific during mid-terms. Ah well. Getting drawings done makes me feel better. I really love my bonsai, it's leaves are coming out really quickly in the very warm environment of my dorm room.

Tree Mounds

I really enjoy drawing trees and anything green. One of the reasons I love the Pacific Northwest. This piece takes a little inspiration for the art for World of Warcraft. I've never played the game but I really like the art. Also much of the art for the Odd World games.

101

This is my one hundred and 1th post. I can't believe I've kept this up so long. I think it's done my drawing good. I visited my old high school today. Half of the upper school is under construction, the new building is quite imposing. It seemed to loom over me as three of my friends and I walked up to it. We didn't get to talk to as many of the teachers as I had hoped. The school was so foreign even though it's only been less than a year since I woke up every morning around six to make the 45min trip to the school. I saw someone I had hoped I wouldn't see. I was angry with myself over the way I responded. I felt like I had taken on a all the negative characteristics of someone, the way I acted. I don't think I really did but some actions I just can't keep myself from thinking about that way.

Sea Phantom

Down to only three drawings behind. Hurray. This is a little bit different from my recent work. It was fun though

Linux

Sort of a plain drawing but I enjoyed the practice. I'm thinking of putting Linux Mint on my other computer. I'm curious how it will preform. I guess there is only one way to find out. The computer is a Dell Inspiron 600m which I think supports it but I'm not really sure.

Jungle pool

Bother the water is tilted. I need to look at some more waterfalls. I brought my bonsai tree or just bush since I haven't trained it at all back to my dorm. It's budding right now. I just love the new green of the leaves. Such a reminder of spring even as it snows outside

Simple

A weird little sketch that's a little disappointing to me. Oh well it's a bad day

:(

Why does everyone's life at college seem to be so bad. In high school nothing happened to my friends. Maybe I just never knew about what was happened with my friends when I was in high school because I didn't live with them. Goodness it's really sad.

Misty sunrise

I really enjoy sun coming through the trees. Unfortunately I don't get to see sun like this very often. I guess that's why I draw it. I need to practice drawing trees more.

Autum Grove

The composition in this could have been stronger as could have the colors. I tried to use a bunch of custom brushes in this, I liked the result. I should try something like this with a greater sense of space.

Drainage

I was in a hurry so didn't have time to add as much detail as I would have liked. I really must bring more of my life drawing skills to these made-up drawings. I will also try to work with linear perspective more.

Waterfalls and Bricks

Goodness I just stabbed my hand with a fork trying to get frozen pesto out of a plastic container. The fork only went in a little way in one place but now it hurts to type which I have to do a lot of tonight. It's just annoying. I won't be able to go climbing for a day or two. Speaking of climbing I finished a traverse from one side of the wall to the other. I had been trying it for quite a while and this was the first time I made it. Before I had come close but fallen off simply because my hands weren't strong enough.

Road to the City

First drawing in too long. Wow it looks as if I really forgot a lot. I'll try to get it back. The weather is so lovely I just don't want to be inside.
